About Us

We are a 95-year old publication that was created to serve the African American community of Westchester County, New York. After 23 years as volunteers, we inherited the paper after the publisher's untimely passing. So for the past 15 years, we have added owners, publishers, and chief bottle washers, to our duties as writers, editors, and graphic artists. In our earlier lives, we were school teachers for forty years.
